THE TIME HAS COME FOR US AT ST. AMBROSE SCHOOL TO TURN OUR ATTENTION TO THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR. IT IS OUR HOPE AND PRAYER THAT THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE ONE OF GOOD HEALTH, HOPE AND PEACE FOR ALL OF US! THIS IS THE TIME WHEN WE NEED OUR PARISH FAMILY THE MOST AND WHAT BETTER PLACE FOR OUR CHILDREN THAN AT ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC SCHOOL!
Step 1: Click on the 'Click to Register' button below to begin. The process takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. You will be asked to 'read and be governed by the 2020-2021 PARENT/STUDENT HANDBOOK OF POLICIES/PROCEDURES' which you can find here:
Step 2: Complete and submit the online questionnaire
Step 3: Once the School and Church Office Personnel have reviewed your information, you will receive a confirmation email with your new 2020-2021 Tuition Agreement attached.
*New families and new students will be sent additional questions via email to complete the registration process.
Step 4: You will be asked to review and 'ACCEPT' your new 2020-2021 Tuition Agreement

All documents needed to register your child(ren) are available below. These documents must be on file with the School Office prior to the first day of school. Documents required for admission include:
Students applying for admissions in Grades 1-8 must present a copy of the above listed documents. These will be reviewed to determine whether the program at St. Ambrose Catholic School will meet the educational needs of the students. An interview with the student, parents, and principal is part of the admission process. The principal then recommends admission to the pastor.
Forms for Admission
Medicine Form In accordance with Illinois Law, St. Ambrose staff members dispense medication only in a life-threatening situation (i.e. allergic bee sting, asthma, blood sugar disorders, etc.)
There will be no deposit required to enroll your child(ren) at this time. The deposit will still be a part of your tuition in the fall.
There will be no changes to tuition for the 2020-2021 school year. Families in need of financial assistance this year, especially under the current circumstances, should contact Michelle Pulaski at the business office, 618-466-2921.
Supply and iPad fees do not have to be paid at this time to complete registration. These fees are due by July 31st. Any fees not paid by July 31st will be included in your FACTS agreement. They can be paid via check, over the phone, or online.
St. Ambrose Catholic School reserves the right to verify:
> Families with address or name changes or guardianship changes
> New Kindergarten students who have not completed St. Ambrose's free screening process

Testing in some academic areas may be held for a new incoming student in Grades 3-8.
All new students will be given a trial period to prove himself/herself both socially and academically. If during this trial period there are any issues, a student may be asked to withdraw his/her attendance at St. Ambrose Catholic School. Conditional admission may be recommended, if appropriate, and conditions may be suggested. For example, students who are not performing at grade level but whose parents request placement with chronological age classmates must provide a full-time aid at the parents’ expense.
Moreover, all financial responsibilities to previous parish schools must be satisfied before admission is considered at St. Ambrose Catholic School.
Ordinarily, St. Ambrose Catholic School does not accept transfers into or returning to St. Ambrose during the school year unless the transfer is due to a move into the area by a parish family.
TO ENTER KINDERGARTEN AT ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC SCHOOL, A CHILD’S AGE MUST COMPLY WITH ILLINOIS STATE REGULATION. At this time the regulation states that the child must be five years old by September 1 of the entry year to begin kindergarten. Children entering preschool must be three years old by September 1 of the entry year to enter the three-year old program and four years old by September 1 of the entry year to enter the four-year old program. Children MUST BE FULLY POTTY TRAINED to enter preschool.
In accordance with Illinois State Law, any new student entering St. Ambrose Catholic School must bring a certified copy of his/her birth certificate to school so that a photocopy may be made and kept on file.
