August 3, 2020 - Facebook Live & First Day Information
Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
Hopefully all of your students had a good first day of voluntary virtual learning. I know many classes had Google Meet sessions, while others completed digital lessons. Please remember that we are all learning the new educational process here at St. Ambrose and it will take some practice before everything runs smoothly. That practice is what our two weeks are all about.
A few announcements this afternoon;
-If you would like to have your student(s) begin the year in distance/virtual learning, please respond to this message or email me at email@example.com
We ask for those responses now so that we can finalize all of our initial preparations.
-If at any point you have any issues or questions related to technology, please email our IT specialist, Steven Schienschang. His email address is sschienschang@stambrosegodfre
You can also submit technology issues/questions to "Technology Help Desk." This is a new link on the website.
-This evening at 6:00 p.m. I am hosting a live question/answer session on Facebook Live. There is a link on the school wesbite (www.stambrosegodfrey.org) that will take you to this digital meeting. You do not have to be a Facebook user to access this video. During the meeting you will be able to email questions to firstname.lastname@example.org We will remind you of this address once the meeting starts. After the meeting is finished we will post a recording of the meeting on the website.

1) Please visit our COVID-19 PAGE for the St. Ambrose Catholic School Reopening plan.
2) Hopefully you have had the opportunity to help your student log in to their Chromebook and connect to their teacher's Google Classroom page. If you were unable to attend the Chromebook pick up days, please email me to make alternate arrangements.
3)If you have not already done so please submit the technology agreement consent form at your earliest convenience. The technology Agreement/Internet Acceptable Use and Safety Policy, and the consent form/signature page, can be found on our ACADEMICS < TECHNOLOGY PAGE
4) Mark your calendars for Sunday August 16. That day we will have a uniform resale and will conduct supplies drop off. The uniform resale will take place near the gym on that corner of the parking lot. We will also allow parents to bring in their student's school supplies. Please remember to wear a mask and come to the outer doors of your child's room. This will be the first opportunity for your child to enter their room using the outside door (this will be the daily procedure, see the reopening plan for more details). Staff will be on hand to direct you. The uniform resale and supply drop off will last from 11:00-1:30.
